Popular Aesthetic Treatments To Look Out For In 2024

As we get into the full swing of 2024, it’s that time again for new aesthetic treatments and beauty products to hit the clinics and shelves.

Popular Aesthetic Treatments – Is It A Phase?

Each year, new beauty industry trends hit social media and take the world by storm. Claiming to help keep your skin looking glowy and hydrated all year round, how you can fix your biggest skin concerns, and even help treat problems such as ageing and pigmentation.

That’s not to say that every treatment is a one-size-fits-all, it’s important to carefully consider, research, and seek professional guidance when looking at any sort of aesthetic/cosmetic treatment.

So what are we expecting to see rise in popularity this year? This is every cosmetic procedure/aesthetic treatment we predict to be exceptionally sought after this year.

PRP – (Plasma Rich Therapy)

Plasma Rich Therapy, also known in more popular terms as the ‘Vampire Facial’ is soaring in popularity due to its natural ingredients and the science behind it. PRP contains no synthetic substances or other components, the only ingredients being the platelets from your own blood cells.

If you haven’t already guessed from its vampire nickname, PRP involves using your blood to help restore the skin and kick-start collagen production. Despite being a non-invasive treatment, PRP is still injectable but can be administered in various techniques. Your clinician will discuss this with you before treatment, you can even have the platelets micro-needled into your skin instead of injected if this is what you would prefer.

Blood will be drawn from your arm like a routine blood test, and then put into a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the blood. Not only this, but the platelets are then highly concentrated to heighten their healing properties.

Once complete, this will then be injected or rolled into the skin to create micro-injuries. The micro-injuries trigger your body’s response to heal, and this is what kick-starts the heightened production of collagen and all of the other goodness that your skin needs to stay healthy and youthful.

Polynucleotides

Skin boosters are still relatively new to the world of aesthetics. Most people who don’t want to start having Botox or Dermal Fillers yet opt for skin boosters, as they pump your skin full of everything that our bodies produce naturally, just in higher quantities. They do exactly what they say on the tin, and boost your skin with substances like Hyaluronic Acid, Succinic Acid, and much more of the natural goodness created by your body in high quantities.

This is because as we age, our skin starts to slow the process of creating elastin and collagen, which is responsible for keeping skin looking plump and firm. It’s important to note that even things like dehydration and dry skin can cause firmness and youthfulness to disappear from your skin. Making skin boosters the perfect treatment.

This is why skin boosters are advised in a course of 3 treatments. 1 treatment will boost your skin but only yield short-term results. 3 treatments consistently will keep your skin dosed with all of the booster’s ingredients for longer, and yield more visible results.

The most popular skin booster of this year is predicted to be Polynucleotides. This is because, unlike most skin boosters, Polynucleotides act as a ‘medicine’ or ‘food’ for your skin cells as opposed to just adding natural acids into your skin. Polynucleotides are biostimulators” – a.k.a an in-clinic treatment that stimulates our cells to produce more elastin and collagen.

Rather than adding volume through fillers, this is an injectable skin treatment that quite literally improves your skin quality, as it targets skin-damaging free radicals, boosts hydration, and improves tissue regeneration. You can expect to see immediate results from Polynucleotides although they stimulate for around 12 weeks, so you can expect to see continued improved results within this time frame.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

One of the most common treatments at our clinic is the non-surgical rhinoplasty, also known as ‘the liquid nose job’. Nose’s are a common worry for people, as they come in all different shapes, and sizes and can be very unique. As the nose is at the centre of the face, many people do not like their noses, as it’s the main centre-point of the face. Some nose problems can be caused by health issues such as a deviated septum, and it’s important to note that issues like this can only corrected by surgery. Dermal filler in the nose, however, can help with unevenness, bumps, ridges, and even give your nose an overall lift.

When in the right hands, a non-surgical rhinoplasty can provide results as good, if not better than a surgical rhinoplasty. A lot of patients want to focus primarily on improving their side profile as opposed to how their nose looks front-on, making it such a versatile treatment. With a 67% rise in popularity last year alone, we expect this treatment to only rise in popularity throughout 2024.

Talk About Treatments!

Each of these treatments is provided at our private clinic across the UK. Because of the rise of social media, ‘selfie’ culture, and also people becoming more educated about their skin and bodies, the rise of ‘tweakments’ has begun. Tweakments is a statement used to determine treatments that only enhance features you already have, rather than completely altering your face or overall appearance.

If any of these procedures sound like something you would like to know more about or would be interested in, you can enquire here. Alternatively, you can also contact us on 01844 335110.
