a natural treatment to rejuvenate and promote healthy skin cells whilst healing damaged ones

platelet rich plasma therapy (PRP)

what is pRP?

Plasma Rich Platelets (PRP) treatment, also known as Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy, is a medical procedure that uses a patient’s own blood to promote healing and rejuvenation in various tissues of the body. It has gained popularity in cosmetic and regenerative medicine due to its potential to stimulate tissue repair and regeneration.

Platelets are naturally occurring components of blood that play a crucial role in the body’s healing process. They contain growth factors and other bioactive proteins that can help stimulate tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and promote new cell growth. PRP treatment is believed to harness the regenerative properties of platelets to promote healing and rejuvenation in the treated area.

What does PRP help improve?

PRP improves the following:

  • Reduces Fine Lines/Wrinkles
  • Skin Rejuvenation
  • Cell Growth
  • Firmness
  • Complexion
  • Texture

We use cellenis PRP systems for our platelet rich plasma therapy

how does PRP work?

A small amount of blood is drawn from the patient’s arm, similar to a routine blood test.

The blood sample is then processed in a centrifuge machine to separate the plasma, which is the liquid portion of the blood, from the red and white blood cells.

The plasma, which is rich in platelets, is collected and further processed to concentrate the platelets. This concentrated plasma, which contains a higher concentration of platelets than normal blood, is then used for treatment.

The PRP is injected or topically applied to the target area, depending on the specific treatment purpose. It can be used in various medical and cosmetic applications, such as facial rejuvenation, hair restoration, joint and soft tissue injuries, and wound healing.

Longevity

For the best, long-lasting results we recommend a course of 3 to start, and then the skin rejuvenation is naturally ongoing. Therefore you may want to have maintenance treatments from then on, once a year. Our experts are more than happy to discuss a treatment plan to best suit your skin type and wants and need from the procedure.

Side Effects

Following the procedure, there may be some slight tenderness and redness. However these symptoms will dissipate quickly.

Aftercare

After the procedure. we recommend that you avoid vigorous activity or exercise for the first 24-48 hours following the procedure. We also advise you to not touch the area treated after your appointment and to hold off applying makeup on the area 24 hours post-procedure. Also try to avoid extensive amounts of sun or heat for 72 hours after.
