Lip Filler Treatment

Lip augmentation has fast become one of the most popular treatments within the world of aesthetics

Using an artistic and holistic approach our expert practitioners use dermal filler lip filler treatment to add definition and volume to the lips achieving a results-driven treatment. At The Cosmetic Centre we are proud to use Allergan’s FDA-approved range of Juvederm dermal fillers.

How long do lip fillers last?

This will vary depending on the individual and the area treated; however generally speaking the dermal fillers last around 6-12 months.

How do lip filler treatments work?

Lip filler is dermal filler, which is made up of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found within us which causes us to look plump and youthful when we are young. As we age, collagen starts to break down which reduces the volume behind our skin. Re-introducing the hyaluronic acid using dermal filler treatment can add definition and volume to the lip border and body.

When will I see the effects of my lip filler treatment?

The results of lip filler treatment can be seen almost immediately post procedure and will continue to develop over the next 4 weeks.

What is the aftercare for dermal fillers?

Yes, it is quite common to combine both treatments to add a softening affect on the facial features whilst also defining and contouring the face. At The Cosmetic Centre one of our expert practitioners will discuss all treatments with you to ensure you are getting the best out of your time with us.

How much does lip filler cost?

The cost of lip fillers starts at £275 per 1ml syringe, your total price is dependent on product and amount used.

Do Lip Fillers hurt?

A small needle is used to inject the lip area with dermal filler, this has been described to feel like a light scratch. Each patient experiences the lip filler treatment in different ways, a slight discomfort may be felt throughout. The treatment itself will take around 15 minutes and after you may feel slight tenderness and swelling. All of our dermal filler contain lidocaine and we use a topical anaesthetic before lip filler for numbing.

Are there any side effect with lip fillers?

You may experience swelling for a short time after the procedure, along with slight tenderness. Very occasionally. there may be some bruising at the injection site.

What is the aftercare for dermal fillers?

After treatment, we ask that you do not touch the area and avoid applying makeup or soaps to the injection site. After 24 hours, the swelling will reduce and you will be able to carry on as normal. We recommend that vigorous activity or exercise is avoided for the first 24-48 hours following the procedure.
