procedure to tighten the lobe caused by stretched earlobes or trauma

Earlobe Repair (Split Or Stretched Earlobes)

what is Earlobe repair?

Earlobe repair, also known as split or stretched earlobe repair, is a cosmetic procedure that aims to repair earlobes that have been stretched, torn, or damaged due to various causes. This can occur from wearing heavy earrings, trauma, piercings that have been stretched over time, or other factors.

The procedure involves removing any excess or damaged tissue, reshaping the earlobe, and suturing the edges together to create a natural-looking earlobe contour. Depending on the extent of the damage, additional techniques may be used, such as repositioning or grafting of tissue to restore a symmetrical appearance.

After the earlobe repair procedure, proper aftercare is important, which may include keeping the area clean, avoiding strenuous activities that may strain the earlobe, and refraining from wearing heavy earrings for a period of time as advised by the healthcare professional.

Earlobe repair can help restore the aesthetics of the earlobe, improve comfort while wearing earrings, and boost self-confidence for individuals who have split or stretched earlobes. It’s important to consult with a qualified healthcare professional to determine if earlobe repair is the right option for you and to discuss the expected outcomes, risks, and recovery process.

treatment options for earlobe repair

Here at The Cosmetic Centre, we offer a variety of different treatment options which will be discussed at your consultation including:

  • Split earlobe repair: a surgical procedure under local anaesthetic removing excess tissue and using dissolvable stitches to attach the two sides together, minimal downtime and quick treatment time.
  • Stretched earlobe repair: similar to the split procedure, the practitioner will remove any excess tissue which will cause a split to then stitch both sides together with dissolveable stitches.
