The areas of the face that the dermal filler treatment can be applied are:
- Nose to mouth lines
- Mouth to chin lines
- Corners of the mouth
- Dermal filler for lips (border and body)
- Nose reshaping
- Tear trough
- Smoker’s lines

How long do dermal filler treatments last?
This will vary depending on the individual and the area treated; however generally speaking the dermal fillers last around 6 months – 2 years. This can also differ on the area treated. For example, the nose is static compared to the lips meaning the dermal fillers will break down quicker in the lip area.
How do dermal fillers work?
Dermal filler is made up of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found within us which causes us to look plump and youthful when we are young. As we age collagen starts to break down which reduces the volume behind our skin. Re-introducing the hyaluronic acid using dermal filler treatment can plump out deep skin folds whilst also enhancing and sculpting the face giving an overall lifting effect.
Are there any side effect with dermal fillers?
Following the procedure, there may be some slight tenderness and very occasionally there may be some bruising at the injection site, however these symptoms will dissipate quickly. In the lips, you may experience swelling for a short period of time after the procedure.
When will I see the effects of my dermal filler treatment?
The effects of your dermal filler treatment will appear straight after treatment but will develop over the next 4 weeks.
What is the aftercare for dermal fillers?
We recommend that any vigorous activity or exercise is avoided for the first 24-48 hours following the procedure. It is also advised to not touch the area treated after your appointment and to hold of applying makeup on the area 24 hours post procedure.
