The cold winter days are well and truly upon us, with central heating, cold mornings and limited daylight our skin is one of the first things that we notice to suffer. It can become dull, dehydrated and breakouts can often occur. Chemical Peels along with a good skin care regime is a great way to keep your skin in tip top condition and help to combat these issues.

What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical skin peel is a clinical grade skin rejuvenating treatment used to target a variety of skin conditions.

Peels chemically exfoliate the skin, removing the top layer and waving goodbye to dead skin cells and dirt. This process stimulates your skin to generate new cell growth, resulting in fresher, clearer and brighter skin with a smoother texture.

Why have a Chemical Peel?
Chemical Peels can be used as part of your monthly skin routine or to treat a number of skin concerns including:

What products are used?
We use the Epionce Chemical peel range, using a combination of salicylic and malic acid. This brand is suited to all skin types and offer 2 types of peels: Epionce Lite Refresh Peel and the Epionce Corrective Peel.

The Epionce Lite Refresh Peel is always used for a patient’s first peel to see how the skin tolerates it. This peel is generally preferred for those who want general rejuvenation of the skin, brightening, refined pores etc. who don’t have specific skin concerns.
The Epionce Corrective Peel uses a stronger solution and is more likely to be used for patients with acne skin and hyperpigmentation.

How will I know which Chemical Peel I need?
Before having a Chemical Peel we ideally require you to have a skin consultation with one of our skin specialists, these can often be done on the same day. Here we can discuss your areas of concern, explain the treatment options and discuss your current skin care routine to provide you with optimum results.

How often do I need to have a Chemical Peel?
This depends on the skin concern being treated and this will be discussed with the skin specialist during the skin consultation. If you are having Chemical peels as part of your skin maintenance regime you can have a peel once a month, if you are looking to treat a skin concern depending on the skin concern being treated and the peel being used we recommend a course of 3 with 6 weeks in between each treatment.

How much do they cost?
We can offer this treatment in a training environment with Cosmetic Courses at the cost of £40 per treatment or in a private setting at the cost of £75 per treatment with a course of 3 at £250.
What is the difference between a training and private environment?

Cosmetic Courses train medical professionals in aesthetic treatments including skin rejuvenation and injectables such as Botox and Filler. To provide the practical element of the course we require live models to have their treatment done in this training environment under close supervision of our trainers. The service before, during and after is the same but the treatment may take slightly longer than a private setting treatment.
